Ventura , CA : Two people injured after vehicle overturned and crashed on Friday ,May 8th 2015

Two people were injured after a vehicle overturned Friday in midtown Ventura, officials said.

The crash was reported at 2:35 p.m. near Loma Vista Road and East Main Street.

A mid-sized sedan and a sports utility vehicle were involved in the crash, officials said. The SUV was upside down and a person was trapped inside, authorities said.

Crews with the Ventura Fire Department freed the victim, officials said.

The trapped woman and another woman were taken to a local hospital with minor to moderate injuries, authorities said.
