A 16-year-old boy was killed Wednesday when his dirt bike collided, head-on, with a pickup truck.
According to Warren-based state police, the juvenile, whose name was not released as of Thursday night, was northbound on Jackson Avenue, in Glade Township, when he lost control of his motorcycle in the middle of the roadway.
Police said the teen collided with a southbound pickup truck, driven by John Scott Newton, 37, of Warren, at around 6 p.m., Wednesday.
According to police, the teen was pronounced dead at the scene.
Newton was uninjured.
Glade Township Volunteer Fire Department assisted police at the scene, and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
