Saline County, AR : Two people dead in three-vehicle crash in Saline County on Monday January 4 2016.

Two people are dead in a three-vehicle crash Monday morning in Saline County, authorities said.
A tweet from the Kansas Highway Patrol indicated the crash occurred around 8:30 a.m. Monday on K-140 highway near the town of Bavaria, about eight miles southwest of Salina.
The road where the accident occurred is also known as Old US-40 highway.
The patrol said Old US-40 highway was shut down until around 12:45 p.m. while crews investigated the fatal crash.
In addition to the two fatality victims, the patrol said there were a total of three other occupants in the three vehicles. Information on their possible injuries and conditions wasn’t immediately available.
A Kansas Highway Patrol aircraft was called for aerial photos of the crash scene. The Kansas Highway Patrol Critical Highway Accident Response Team and Kansas Department of Transportation crews also were called to the scene.
Additional details, including the names of the fatality victims, weren’t immediately available.
