San Jose, CA : One person dead in fiery car crash in a Northern California parking garage on Monday, November 17, 2014
Authorities say a person died following a fiery car crash in a Northern California parking garage.
The name, age and city of residence of the person who died Monday morning were not immediately released by police.
No other injuries were reported.
San Jose, California police are investigating the crash at 9:17 a.m. Monday on the second floor of a parking garage across the street from the county's main jail and courthouse.
Authorities believe the car crashed into a parking barrier and another vehicle, which caused the fire.
Fire Capt. Reggie Williams said crews discovered the body in the remnants of the car fire.
Authorities said the driver may have crashed after suffering a medical emergency behind the wheel.
One other parked vehicle caught fire and several other cars were damaged from the heat of the fire.
