Helena, MT : Emigrant man dies after pickup crashes into rear of disabled motorhome on Interstate 90 near Livingston on Sunday, Oct 18, 2015
A 45-year-old Emigrant man died when his pickup truck crashed into the back of a disabled motorhome on Interstate 90 near Livingston.
The Montana Highway Patrol says the motorhome was traveling eastbound in the passing lane when a deer ran out in front of the vehicle just before 9 a.m. Sunday. The driver was unable to avoid the deer. The motorhome's battery fell out.
Members of the family traveling in the motorhome tried to flag down traffic to warn eastbound drivers about the road being obstructed, but the driver of a pickup truck apparently didn't see them or the motorhome.
The truck hit the rear of the motor home, which went into the ditch. The pickup rotated 810 degrees.
The victim's name hasn't been released.
