BONNER COUNTY, ID : Sandpoint woman killed in crash with semi on Saturday, November 19th 2016
Idaho State Police report a Sandpoint woman was killed after she ran a stop sign north of Sandpoint just after midnight on Saturday.
The crash happened in the area of Highway 95 and Selle Road. Police say 64-year-old Barbara Crawford was driving westbound on Selle Road when she ran a stop sign at Highway 95. Her Ford Focus hit the side of a semi truck that was headed northbound on the highway. Her car then rolled into the northbound ditch. Crawford died on the scene.
The semi, driven by Christopher Hodgkinson of Red Deer, Alberta, jack-knifed and slid into the northbound ditch, causing the trailer to tip and lose its load. Hodgkinson was not injured in the crash.
The investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
