SCOTT COUNTY, IA : 1 person killed in Scott County crash on Monday, 8th July 2024

A 77-year-old woman is dead after a Monday afternoon crash.

According to the Scott County Sheriff's Office, officers responded to a call reporting a car crash near the 12500 block of New Liberty Road shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Monday, July 8.

According to investigators, a gray 2010 was heading westbound when the vehicle veered off-road and struck an embankment, sending it airborne. The vehicle landed in a cornfield on the north side of the road, and the driver drove through the field until coming to rest in another ditch.
