Boston, MA : A car crashed into the Veterans Administration Hospital on the VFW Parkway early Friday afternoon on May 23, 2014

A car has jumped a curb and crashed into a wall of the Veterans Administration hospital in Boston's West Roxbury neighborhood.

The Boston Fire Department said an elderly man driving the car was taken to the hospital's emergency room as a precaution. No serious injuries have been reported.

The fire department said the car's front end went into a mechanical room just before 12:30 p.m. Friday.

Boston police said state police also were investigating since the crash occurred near the VFW Parkway.
