Delhi Township ,OH : Jennifer Wellington, 20, trapped and injured after Truck Crashes into creek on Monday afternoon ,May 11th 2015

A truck went off-road Monday afternoon while traveling on Bender Road in Delhi Township, crashing into a rocky creek and trapping the driver.

Emergency crews responded to the scene near Mount Saint Joseph University around 2:30 p.m.

Jennifer Wethington, 20, was trapped in the wreckage of a GMC Sierra pickup truck for about 30 minutes after she hydroplaned in heavy rain on Bender Road, went airborne over a guardrail and rolled over two or three times, according Deihi Police Sgt. Jim Wergers. Wergers said Wethington was westbound on Bender Road and rain into a "flash storm" over very heavy rain.

Despite the impact and rollovers, Wethington suffered only minor injuries. She was trapped in the truck while a wrecker cable was attached to stabilize it and firefighters set up a ramp ladder to pull her from the creek bed.
