Logan,UT : USU student among 4 killed in Memorial Day collision in California on may, Monday 29th 2017

The Greek Community at Utah State University is mourning the loss of one of its sorority sisters after her death on Memorial Day in a head-on collision.

Marissa Garnica was one of four people in a passenger car that collided with a semi Monday afternoon on a two-lane highway in Southern California.

“As long as I have have been there, we have never lost a sister, and I think that everyone is devastated, especially those closest to her,” Ashley Edwards of Alpha Chi Omega said Wednesday. “It is nice to have a support system of not only our sorority but the entire Greek community at Utah State.”
