Denton, TX : A woman and a man were involved in a single-car crash on Monday, 19th March 2018
A woman and a man were involved in a single-car crash early Monday morning in Denton in the 2400 block of southbound Interstate 35E, according to Denton police spokesman Shane Kizer.
Kizer said the woman and male driver both were taken to Medical City Denton, but said he did not know their conditions as of Tuesday afternoon.
Officers responded to the scene around 1:30 a.m. The driver said he and the woman were from Allen, and they had been driving back from Choctaw Casino in Durant, Oklahoma. It's unclear whether officers first spoke to the victims at the hospital or at the scene of the crash, Kizer said.
He said the police report also did not specify whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash. The victims, Kizer said, couldn't provide any forms of identification on the scene. While searching the car for their ID, officers found a pill bottle containing a charred piece of aluminum foil, Kizer said.
Police believed it was drug paraphernalia, but it's unclear whether officers cited the driver, Kizer said. No arrests were made.
