Santa Rosa ,CA : Highway 12 back open after pedestrian crash investigation on Tuesday,June 30th 2015
A person is expected to survive after being hit by a car, but the investigation into the crash created overnight traffic trouble on a major thoroughfare between Sonoma & Napa Counties.
Shortly after midnight, Santa Rosa Police sent out an alert that Highway 12 was shut down between Brush Creek road and Farmers Lane, just outside of downtown Santa Rosa.
Investigators say that a person was struck by a car and sustained major head injuries.
The victim was taken to the hospital but is expected to survive.
The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and is reportedly cooperating with police.
Police reopened the highway just after 5am.
