A truck driver has been charged after authorities say he crashed into a road crew in Michigan's northern Lower Peninsula, killing a worker and injuring another.
The crash happened Monday in Wexford County's Clam Lake Township as the crew was finishing work on a sign along an exit ramp from U.S. highway 131.
The Cadillac News and MLive.com report 42-year-old Scott McCant of Grand Rapids was charged Tuesday in Wexford County District Court with reckless driving causing death.
The Associated Press left a message Wednesday seeking comment from his court-appointed lawyer.
The truck driver was exiting the highway and the crew had posted signs warning drivers of the work. Authorities say 45-year-old Sean Jordan of Holly died at the scene and a worker from Troy was hospitalized in good condition.
