HANNAFORD, ND : Drivers airlifted after two semis crash on Tuesday, October, 17th 2017
Two semi-truck drivers from North Dakota needed to be airlifted to the hospital after they crashed into each other near Hannaford just before 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17.
Sixty-year old Patrick Kraemer of McHenry and 29-year old Taylor Rose of Wimbledon were driving their semi-trucks going opposite directions down a dirt road.
Their visability was greatly reduced due to the calm weather conditions which caused the dirt to stay in the air longer. The drivers were unable to avoid each other before the crash and both semi-trucks ended up in the north ditch.
The Cooperstown Ambulance service arrived on the scene and transported both drivers to Cooperstown.
Kraemer was then flown to a Fargo hospital by Sanford LifeFlight, while Rose was flown to a Grand Forks hospital by Valley Med Flight.
The crash is still under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
