Valparaiso, IN : Woman injured when Jeep crashes into medical office on Friday morning, March 6, 2015
Police in northwestern Indiana say a woman has been airlifted to a Chicago hospital after a Jeep crashed into a medical building, trapping her beneath the vehicle for about an hour.
Valparaiso police spokesman Sgt. Mike Grennes says he didn't know the condition of the woman injured Friday morning when the vehicle crashed into the offices of Orthopedic & Balance Therapy Specialists.
He says it took emergency crews nearly an hour to extricate the woman from beneath the vehicle in the city about 25 miles southeast of Gary.
Grennes says the man who was driving the Jeep is expected to face charges.
Devon Bronson works at a nearby restaurant. He tells The (Munster) Times he saw the Jeep moving at a "good speed" before the crash.
