A three vehicle crash on I-25 claims the life of a Palmer High School student.
16 year old Jose Huerta was killed early Sunday just north of Briargate Parkway.
State troopers say Huerta lost control of his car, hit a guardrail, and then was hit by two other vehicles.
Five people were also injured.Huerta was not wearing a seatbelt.
Authorities have ruled out drugs and alcohol as factors.
It’s believed Huerta may have fallen asleep at the wheel.
