Watonga, OK : Canute man injured in accident near Watonga on Friday, 28th June 2019

A Canute man was hospitalized with injuries suffered in a two-vehicle accident early Friday morning near Watonga.

Kole Andrew Cox, 23, was admitted to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City in stable condition with leg injuries, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.

The accident happened at 4:45 a.m. on Oklahoma 3 about 8 1/2 hours east of Watonga.

According to the report, Cox was driving a 2016 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup west on Oklahoma 3 when he ran into the back of a 2013 Mack 600 semi driven by Marth Anthony Jacquet Jr., 31, of St. Martinville, La. Jacquet also was driving west on Oklahoma 3.

The report lists the condition of both drivers as apparently normal, and said the cause was under investigation. Seat belts were in use in both vehicles.
