Rochester,NH : Rochester woman, 20, dies in Hampton Route 101 crash on September, Monday 4th 2017
A 20-year-old Rochester woman died in a single-vehicle crash Monday night on Route 101 eastbound, according to state police.
State and Hampton police arrived at the scene of the accident, reported at about 8:43 p.m. Sept. 4, and found the vehicle at rest on its roof on Route 101 in the area of the eastbound exit 13 on ramp. The operator, Felisha Brown, had been ejected and was deceased, police said.
Police said a preliminary investigation revealed the 2006 Chrysler Sebring, being driven by Brown, was traveling east onto Route 101 when, for an unknown reason, she lost control of her vehicle and skidded off the roadway, crashing into the guardrail. After striking the guardrail, the vehicle overturned.
Brown was not wearing a seatbelt, police said. She was pronounced deceased at the scene by a member of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Route 101 eastbound was closed for almost 2½ hours as troopers investigated and the vehicle was removed. Assisting state police at the scene were the Hampton police and fire departments.
Speed appears to be a factor in the crash, police said.
