Three Palm Coast people involved in a crash Sunday afternoon in the city’s R-section were hospitalized, including a woman who was seriously injured, according to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash took place at 1 p.m. at the intersection of Rolling Sands Drive and Ruth Drive.

Reports show Antonio Sebastiao, 80, was heading northbound on Ruth Drive when he tried to make a left turn at a stop sign at the intersection and drove into the path of an eastbound Chevrolet Cruze being driven by Cathy Parker, 59.

Parker struck the driver’s side of Sebastiao’s Ford Ranger and both cars veered off the roadway, with the Chevrolet colliding with a power pole at the northeast corner of the intersection.
