One person was killed early Thursday in a two-vehicle crash in east Colorado Springs that completely shut down traffic in the area, police said.
The crash was reported about 2:40 a.m. at North Murray Boulevard and Galley Road near Mitchell High School.
Thursday afternoon, Charles Lavandar III was identified as the victim who died in the crash. Two people in the other car, which police say was driven by Raven Delong, 29, were treated with serious injuries at a hospital,
Delong was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault, driving under the influence and a seatbelt violation.
Lavandar was alone in his vehicle.
Police said lanes were reopened at 7:30 a.m.
