Guilford ,VT : dump truck crashed on a snow-covered road after hit telephone pole and flipped on its side on Wednesday , November 26th 2014

Police say a dump truck crashed on a snow-covered road in Guilford Wednesday, spilling its load of hot asphalt and closing the roadway. Vermont state police say at about 11:50 a.m., Thomas Fenton, 56, of Leeds, Massachusetts, was headed north on Route 5 near the Massachusetts state line when he lost control of the truck. It went off the road, hit a telephone pole and flipped on its side, spilling the hot asphalt into a field. Police expected the road to be closed for about five hours as crews cleaned up the scene.
