Five-car crash on Hagerstown Maryland
This five-vehicle collision on U.S. Route 220 in Bel Air on Friday at 10:06 a.m. sent two people to the hospital, according to the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office.
A 2003 Chevrolet Tracker being driven by Jonathan Lancaster southbound struck a 2005 Jeep being driven by David Stevey that had slowed down. Stevey was behind a 2010 Ford truck being driven by Gene Keister, who was waiting to make a left-hand turn. The Lancaster vehicle was struck by a 2008 Nissan being driven by Chelsea Smearman.
A 2002 Ford being driven by Howard Lease collided with the Nissan. The injured were taken to Western Maryland Regional Medical Center by Cresaptown EMS.
The drivers of the back three vehicles were charged, police said.
