Provincetown, MA : Police officer injured after a crash on Route 6 Thursday afternoon, April 14, 2016

A police officer was taken to the hospital as a precaution after a crash on Route 6 Thursday afternoon, according to a statement from the Provincetown Police Department.
At about 1:30 p.m. a Provincetown police cruiser and a Toyota Corolla collided on Route 6 near the Conwell Street intersection, according to the statement.

Provincetown police Officer Sarah Harding, 24, was driving the cruiser and Anne Ditacchio, 70, of Florida was driving the Corolla, according to police.

Harding was treated at Cape Cod Hospital for a minor hand injury and released, according to Provincetown police Chief James Golden. The cause of the crash is under investigation by Provincetown police Sgt. Gregory Hennick, according to the statement.
