Longview,TX : Hit-and-run overturned cattle trailer in 1-20 wreck on November, Friday 17th 2017

A crash Friday night on Interstate 20 in Gregg County that resulted in an overturned cattle trailer was the result of a hit-and-run, Kilgore police said.

The trailer had turned over in the median, trapping more than 60 head of cattle and killing several, police said.

The wreck was caused by the driver of another vehicle that struck the truck pulling the trailer. The other vehicle did not stop and continued east on I-20, police said.

Westbound traffic on I-20 was diverted for several hours as crews cleaned up the scene.

The truck is described as a white pickup with black and gold pinstriping and lettering down the side, possibly a company truck, police said. The truck should have damage to the front driver's side.
