A 59-year-old East Grand Forks man was killed early Tuesday just outside of Crookston when the vehicle he was driving collided with a tractor-trailer truck.
A 59-year-old East Grand Forks man, identified by the Minnesota State Patrol Tuesday afternoon as Gregory Ronald Driscoll, was killed early Tuesday just outside of Crookston when the vehicle he was driving collided with a tractor-trailer truck.
The Minnesota State Patrol received the report minutes before 5 a.m. Tuesday from the intersection of Highway 2 and the 75 bypass northwest of Crookston.
According to the State Patrol, Driscoll, driving a 2009 Mercedes SLK300, failed to yield to the 2016 Freightliner tractor driven by Kristopher L. Rittel, 53, of Grand Forks. Rittel suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to RiverView Health.
Assisting at the scene were the Crookston Fire and Police departments, Polk County Sheriff’s Office and Crookston Area Ambulance Service.
