TOPEKA, KS : 1 dead, 1 seriously injured in crash on eastbound Interstate 70 on Friday, 3rd January, 2020

One person died and another was seriously injured in a crash just west of Topeka in Shawnee County, the Kansas Highway Patrol reported.

The single-vehicle crash happened around 6:30 p.m. Friday on eastbound Interstate 70, the Capital-Journal reported. Investigators said the crash occurred when the vehicle drove into the median, went airborne over a creek, and then hit the creek embankment and a bridge pillar.
