Orlando, FL : 43-year-old man died in crash at Rio Grande Avenue and 40th Street in Orange County on Saturday night, April 30, 2016

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed a man Saturday night in Orange County.

Authorities said the crash happened just before 9:30 p.m. at Rio Grande Avenue and 40th Street.

Investigators said the car was being driven by Marie Etiene, 49, of Orlando, when it lost control, left the roadway and hit a fence and a concrete pillar.

Etiene suffered minor injuries, but her passenger, a 43-year-old man, was killed.

The man was not wearing a seat belt. His name will not be released until his relatives are notified.

The FHP said charges are pending.
