Missoula, MT : 19-year-old killed in crash at Clearwater Junction on Sunday morning, August 17, 2014

The Montana Highway Patrol reports a 19-year-old man died in a one vehicle crash Sunday morning near Clearwater Junction, which is about 32 miles from Missoula. MHP Trooper Nicholas Navarro said the victim was driving a Chevy Malibu with South Carolina plates when it crashed on Montana Highway 200 at around 3:45 a.m. According to Navarro, the driver crossed the center line and veered off the road, and the right corner of his vehicle hit the rail and slid about 50 feet. The vehicle then spun and came off the rail, with the car resting in a ditch. Navarro said the driver was the only person in the car and no other vehicles were involved in the accident.
