ALLENDALE TWP,MI : GR man dies in motorcycle crash on 48th Avenue on July, Monday 31st 2017

A 55-year-old Grand Rapids man was killed when his motorcycle was struck by a car Monday night near the Grand Valley State University campus.The crash occurred at 9:04 p.m. on 48th Avenue, north of Lake Michigan Drive, in Allendale Township.Police said Gregory L. Pierson was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.Sgt. Cal Keuning of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office said Pierson was driving his motorcycle south on 48th Avenue when he was struck by a car turning off 48th onto University Park.
