A Pennsylvania man was killed in a single vehicle crash here early Saturday morning.

The accident was not discovered and reported until six hours after it reportedly took place.
According to the California Highway Patrol report Shawn Lance, 35, of Allentown was driving his 1995 Toyota Tacoma westbound on Indian Trail east of Lear Avenue about 12:20 a.m.

Highway patrol investigators estimated his speed was 90 to 100 miles per hour when, they suspect, he failed to stop at the posted stop sign at the intersection and continued west on Indian Trail.

The driver apparently lost control of the vehicle and traveled south, struck a dirt embankment and became airborne.

The vehicle continued southwest, struck a chain link fence and entered private property southwest of the intersection. The vehicle rolled several times and the driver was ejected.

At approximately 6:30 a.m. the property owner discovered the accident and called 911. The driver was pronounced dead by San Bernardino County fire personnel at 7:11 a.m.

It is unknown if alcohol and or drugs were a contributing factor, and the accident is under investigation.
