Vicksburg, MS :42-year-old woman killed when 18-wheeler crossed the median and on to Frontage Road on Thursday evening, December 18, 2014

A Vicksburg woman was killed Thursday evening when an out of control eastbound 18-wheeler crossed the median and on to Frontage Road, and landed on her car. The accident happened on Interstate 20 at the Halls Ferry exit between 6 and 7 p.m. and backed up traffic for nearly ten miles. At one point, both eastbound and westbound traffic was shutdown. The woman has been identified as 42-year-old Andrea Thomas. MDOT cameras show that some lanes have reopened but traffic is still moving slowly.
