Easton, PA: Three women injured in multi-car Easton crash on Wednesday, July 22nd 2015
Three women were injured Wednesday in a three-vehicle collision near the intersection of Main Street and Stonehouse Hill Road, police said.It is the most recent collision on a section of roadway, near the Brockton line, that has seen two fatal crashes in the last six years.Police and firefighters responded to the area of 446 Main St. near the intersection about 11:40 a.m. Wednesday.At the scene, three cars had heavy damage – and two had collided head-on. The driver’s side tire of a gray Honda was flattened and pulling away from the rim. Red paint from another car involved and scratches ran along the driver’s side. Next to the car, an elderly woman wearing a neck brace was sitting on the side of the road, being treated by an Easton paramedic. The operator was later identified as Marianne Griffiths.A couple hundred feet down the street, a tan Toyota Camry driven by Paula Soares and a red Ford Focus driven by Casandra Weinstein collided, Easton Police Sgt. James McAvoy said. The bumpers and broken headlights from both cars littered the road. The red car’s driver’s side wheel was detached.
