Gardner, MA : Man dies in Gardner motorcycle crash on Howard Street at about 3 p.m. Sunday on May 1, 2014

Authorities say a 46-year-old Gardner man has died after crashing his motorcycle.

Police tell the victim was on an off-road bike that struck a tree about 20 feet off the road on Howard Street at about 3 p.m. Sunday.

The man was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with severe injuries where he was pronounced dead.

His name was not immediately made public.

The crash remains under investigation.
