COPPERAS COVE, TX : Fatal motorcycle crash under investigation by Copperas Cove on Sunday, 7th April 2024

The Copperas Cove Police Department is investigating a fatal accident involving a motorcycle on Sunday night.

On April 7, at around 8:30 p.m., the Copperas Cove Police and Fire Departments were called to the 1200 block of the US 190 bypass on reports of an accident involving a motorcycle.

When authorities arrived on scene, police say they began talking to witnesses.

Police say they determined the driver of the motorcycle, identified as 29-year-old Brandon Wayne Fitzwater, of Kempner, was driving westbound at a high rate of speed, causing him to lose control.
