Blair, NE : No injuries in rollover crash on a rural Washington County road on Friday morning, December 30, 2016
A Kennard woman escaped injury Friday morning after a rollover crash on a rural Washington County road.
Kennard and Bennington rescue units responded to the crash at about 6:30 a.m. on County Road 29 just north of Dutch Hall Road.
Haley Hough, 23, said she was headed south on CR29 when she lost control, over corrected and rolled the Pontiac G6 she was driving.
"The gravel gets really loose," she said.
Washington County Sheriff's Deputy Greg Corns said the vehicle rolled at least twice before coming to rest on its side in the west ditch.
Hough, who was wearing her seat belt, climbed out of the sunroof. She was uninjured.
"These cars are made to crinkle and that's what it did," Corns said. "It saved her."
