The truck was operated by James L. Cereghin, 55, of Defiance, Ohio.
After the intial collision, a northbound Jeep operated by Dennis R. Carroll, 64, of East Bethany, was either struck by the front of or debris from the Grand Marquis. Neither the driver of the truck or the Jeep were injured, deputies said.
Ray was pronounced dead at the scene by Genesee County Coroner Karen Lang. The crash is being investigated by the Genesee sheriff’s department and the state police commmercial vehicle enforcement unit.
