Naples,FL: Man, 75, killed after semi hits disabled car on September, Thursday 28th 2017

A man is dead after a crash on U.S. 30 in Kosciusko County early Thursday morning.

Emergency crews were called about a disabled car stopped in the eastbound lane of U.S. 30 and County Road 350 West about 1:45 a.m., the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department said.

When crews arrived, they found that the car, a 2016 Nissan, had been struck by a semi traveling east on U.S. 30.

The driver of the semi told police because it was dark, it was difficult to see the car stopped in the middle of the road.

The driver of the Nissan, Louis M. Doty, 75 of Paris, Kentucky, died at the scene, police said.

The semi driver was not injured. The crash is under investigation.
