Anchorage, AL: Two Wasilla motorcyclists die in Glenn Highway crash on Friday, July 24th 2015

Two motorcyclists, each 21 years old, died in a Friday evening crash on Glenn Highway. Another person suffered life-threatening injuries.A group of motorcycles was northbound on the Glenn Highway from Anchorage, traveling at a "high rate of speed," Alaska State Troopers wrote in a Saturday dispatch.Adam Johnson and David Hecker, both of Wasilla, struck a 2001 Honda Odyssey that was southbound on the highway near Echo Lake.Both died at the scene, near Milepost 37.5.Lance Shepard, 35 of Ohio, was driving the minivan. He was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.However, a passenger in the van who has not been identified publicly was taken by LifeMed to the Mat-Su Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.Families have been notified.Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact troopers at 907-352-5401. Investigation continues.
