Kennewick, WA : Motorcyclist killed in collision on George Washington Way in Richland on Thursday afternoon, April 6, 2017

Motorcyclist Paul H. Quintana, 34, of Richland, died in a three-way collision Thursday afternoon between a motorcycle, car and delivery truck on George Washington Way in Richland.

Benton County Coroner John Hansens released Quintana's name Friday.

The truck was stopped in the northbound lane in front of the Richland Police Department, with Quintana stopped behind the truck on his motorcycle, when a passenger car struck the motorcycle. Police suspect the car’s driver was distracted.

The collision occurred at 2 p.m. and stopped traffic in both directions for several hours. The street was reopened shortly after 5 p.m.

Police have not released the name of the car’s driver. The collision remains under investigation.
