NEW YORK, NY : 1 killed, 1 wounded after gunman opens fire on car in NYC on Wednesday, December 7th, 2016

Police say one man is dead and another was wounded when an unidentified gunman opened fire on the men as they rode in a BMW in Brooklyn’s Canarsie neighborhood.

The shooting was reported around 2:40 p.m. Wednesday in the vicinity of Farragut Road and East 80th Street.

The NYPD says the first victim was a 21-year-old male who was pronounced dead on arrival at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center. He was shot multiple times in the face and torso.

The second victim was shot once in the leg. He was taken to Kings County Hospital Center, where he’s currently listed in stable condition.

The names of the victims are being withheld.

Police say the suspect fled the area in a Kia going eastbound on 80th Street.
