Kalispell, MT : School bus driver dies in rollover crash near Whitefish on Tuesday, Sep 8, 2015
A school bus driver died in a rollover crash near Whitefish at the beginning of her route.
Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry says no students were on board the small bus when it crashed shortly after 7 a.m. Tuesday.
Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Josh Nanna says 66-year-old Margaret Allers Juenke of Columbia Falls was traveling north on Dillon Road when the bus went off the road. She overcorrected, causing the bus to roll.
Juenke was not wearing her seat belt and was ejected from the bus. She died at the scene.
Whitefish Superintendent Health Davis Schmidt said the school notified parents of students on the route and the bus company and school officials got the kids to school.
