Fresno, CA : A Kerman woman was killed after a head-on crash in Fresno County on Saturday, November, 4th 2017
A Kerman woman was killed Saturday morning after a head-on crash in Fresno County, the California Highway Patrol said.
CHP Sgt. David Salcido said the 45-year-old woman, who drove a Buick Enclave, swerved into the southbound lanes of Madera Avenue and collided with a Honda Accord carrying three people.
The driver of the Honda, a 32-year-old man, was taken to Community Regional Medical Center with major injuries. A female passenger in the Honda was also taken to the hospital but was then released. The other passenger had only minor injuries. All three in the Honda are from Madera, the CHP said. The CHP had reported initially that three people were hospitalized with major injuries.
The crash was reported just before 6 a.m. north of Nielsen Avenue. Salcido said there is a possibility that wet roads could have contributed to the crash, but an investigator was still determining the cause. Alcohol or drugs were not believed to be factors, he added.
