Patchy fog prevented AirCare from responding to a serious-injury crash that partially closed westbound Interstate 275 Thursday morning.
The fog reduced visibility to about three miles at the Butler County Regional Airport in Fairfield Township as the crash was reported around 8:10 a.m., according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.
At least one person was trapped inside a vehicle and suffered a head injury, according to Hamilton County emergency communication reports.
The man was extricated and taken by ambulance to Bethesda North Hospital.
The fog should burn off by mid-morning. Thursday will be hot and humid with the mercury soaring to 89 degrees.
Thursday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 69.
