Tampa, FL : Man dead after car overturns, catches fire at I-75 and Selmon Expressway on Friday, July 3, 2015

A man died Friday morning when the car he was driving crashed into the overpass on northbound Interstate 75 near the entrance ramp from the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway and burst into flames, Florida Highway Patrol troopers said.

Troopers said the man, who died at the scene, will not be identified until authorities are able to notify his family.

He was reportedly driving north on Interstate 75 when he took the exit for the Selmon Expressway, lost control of the Chrysler 200 and crashed into the base of the overpass. The car flipped and caught fire.
