A 21-year-old man died early Sunday after crashing into a tree on Jacksonville’s Southside, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.Evan Brody Patchell lost control of his Volkswagen Gulf about 4:40 a.m. on Atlantic Boulevard east of Kensington Garden Boulevard for unknown reasons, investigators said.The Volkswagen traveled off the road into the median where it struck a tree. Patchell, the only occupant of the car, wasn’t using a seatbelt and died at the scene, according to the Highway Patrol.
