Benton,CA : Benton man dies in ATV accident on July, Friday 14th 2017

A Benton resident was killed in an ATV accident in Polk County after he ran off the road this past week, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
Billy F. Shelton, 54, was traveling east on Scenic View Drive, and at the intersection with Welcome Valley Road, reportedly lost control of his ATV in a sharp curve, went off the roadway and down a steep embankment.
THP Trooper Kevin Hoppe’s report said tthe 1986 Honda ATV apparently overturned several times with Shelton on it. Shelton was found a short distance from the ATV.
The trooper’s report said Shelton was found dead on the scene as emergency units arrived.
According to Hoppe, the accident occurred around 6:25 a.m. Friday.
Ralph Buckner Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Shelton, whose funeral is scheduled for Monday.
