MUNCIE, IN : Driver hurt in Ind. 332 accident on Tuesday, December 6th, 2016

An Anderson woman was injured Tuesday morning she she lost control of her car on Ind. 332 west of Delaware County Road 500-W.

The vehicle rolled several times before coming to rest on its top, according to an Indiana State Police press release.

Investigators said Ashley Patterson, 28, was traveling eastbound "at a high rate of speed when she last control trying to switch lanes."

She was able to get out of her vehicle after the accident, and was taken by ambulance to IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital for treatment of what were believed to be minor injuries.

A state trooper cited Patterson for driving too fast to avoid a collision and driving while suspended. The crash was reported about 7:10 a.m.

Patterson had allegedly earlier fled from Madison County sheriff's deputies. A related investigation is ongoing.
