Bozeman, MT : Bicyclist struck in between a truck and killed on Wednesday morning June 25th 2014

A large truck struck and killed a bicyclist on the frontage road near Bozeman.

Police tell the Bozeman Daily Chronicle the man, in his 40s, was struck by the truck at about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday just east of the 19th Avenue interchange. Both vehicles were eastbound.

Police say the bicyclist maneuvered onto the roadway and the truck driver attempted to avoid him.

They collided and the bicyclist was pronounced dead after being transported to a hospital.

Capt. Steve Crawford says the collision is still under investigation and no charges have been filed.

The name of the bicyclist has not been released.
