La Crosse, WI : 1 killed in La Crosse County head-on crash on Tuesday, August 8, 2017

A passenger was killed Tuesday afternoon after a head-on crash in the town of Holland, according to the La Crosse County Sheriff’s Office.

A Jeep Liberty was traveling north on Hwy. V about 3:30 p.m. when it appears to have crossed the center line and struck a Ford Focus traveling south, the department stated.

The front seat passenger of the Focus was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and a rear passenger in the Focus and driver of the Jeep were hospitalized.

The State Patrol is helping to reconstruct the crash.

Names of those involved will be released once family is notified.
