Lima, OH : Two people injured after a single vehicle roll-over crash in Shelby County on Wednesday morning, March 8, 2017

Two people were transported to the hospital after a single vehicle roll-over crash Wednesday morning in Shelby County.

At 7:13 a.m., emergency units responded to the 8000 block of Hardin-Wapakoneta Road on a report of an accident. The units found a 2005 Buick Century with two occupants trapped inside. The “Jaws of Life” were used to extricate the occupants, 22-year-old Cody Watts of Minster and a 13-year-old from Sidney.

Watts was transported to Miami Valley Hospital by Careflight, and the juvenile was transported to Wilson Health by Fort Loramie Rescue.

An investigation revealed that the vehicle was southbound on Hardin-Wapakoneta Road when the driver lost control as he crossed Mason Road. The vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and traveled approximately 350 feet before it rolled, coming to rest on its wheels.
